A mark that fails does not count. Each mark is an automated estimate, made by an AI model in the style of the exam's mark schemes or scoring guides: for a course question against our own scheme, for a question you type in against a scheme the model writes. It is not an official mark, is not made or checked by an examiner, and does not predict your result. A photo of your working is read once by our AI provider to write it down for you to check, and is not stored. Your typed or checked working and its marks are saved to your account until you delete the account; they are sent to our AI provider only to make the mark. Mark My Work never writes your working or answers for you.

GCSE and A-level Maths upgrade: paid digital access

GCSE and A-level Maths upgrade is a one-time purchase, open only to an account that paid for GCSE Maths Pro through our checkout and has no GCSE and A-level Maths running. What you actually paid for it (after any discount, less anything refunded or paid back to you), with anything else you paid that counts toward the GCSE and A-level Maths, counts toward the GCSE and A-level Maths's price of £199: at £119 paid you add £80, and the amount is shown before you pay; it is credit for money you paid, not a discount. Each paid course can be credited once. Paying opens GCSE and A-level Maths on your account: Everything in GCSE Maths: every lesson, question and timed paper; Everything in A-level Maths: every lesson, question and timed paper; Four years of access: through the A-level exams for a student in Year 10 or 11. Access lasts 48 months: it ends at the end of the day (UK time) 48 months after the day you buy. Bought today, that is 30 October 2030. GCSE Maths Pro keeps its own access date. There is no subscription or recurring charge. No VAT is charged: the price shown at checkout is what you pay. Access is to online digital content and starts only after payment and recorded consent. If the upgrade is refunded, or its payment is disputed, GCSE and A-level Maths closes and GCSE Maths Pro stays open under its own purchase. If any purchase that was credited is refunded or disputed, GCSE and A-level Maths closes too.

Cancellation and immediate access

Paying gives you access to the course straight away. Your statutory 14-day right to cancel (under the Consumer Contracts Regulations) ends when that access begins, so the law gives no cooling-off refund once the course has opened. That does not affect our own, separate refund promise: GCSE Design and Technology Pro and GCSE Geography Pro and GCSE Computer Science Pro and GCSE Statistics Pro and GCSE PE Pro and GCSE History Pro and GCSE Business Pro and GCSE Triple Science Pro and GCSE English Literature Pro and GCSE Religious Studies Pro and GCSE Spanish Pro and GCSE French Pro and IGCSE ESL Genius Pro and GCSE and A-level Maths and GCSE Science and A-level Chemistry and GCSE Science and A-level Physics and GCSE Science and A-level Biology and GCSE Plus and Mark My Work and GCSE Maths and Mark My Work and GCSE and A-level Maths upgrade and GCSE Science and A-level Chemistry upgrade and GCSE Science and A-level Physics upgrade and GCSE Science and A-level Biology upgrade come with a full refund for any reason if you ask within 14 days of paying, even after the course has opened. It is set out below.

Under every pay button we show this notice: “By paying you agree to our Terms and get access straight away, which ends your 14-day cancellation right.” By clicking to pay with that notice shown, you agree to these terms, you give your express consent for access to the digital course to start straight away, and you acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right to cancel once access starts. We record that you clicked pay with the notice shown, the notice version and the time, and we confirm it in the email we send when your course opens. If that record cannot be made, we do not grant paid access. Contact support@unigenius.co.uk if you have a question about your rights.

GCSE Maths Pro: Get a grade 8 or your money back

Before your first GCSE Maths paper, finish the course (100% course work, 70% right on your latest 100 marked answers and all 10 timed mocks). If your official grade is below 8, send your official result within 30 days of its release and we refund the price you paid.

• The result. GCSE Maths grade 8 or higher. This promises a refund, not a place, an offer or any other decision made with the result.
• The course. Reach 100% course work (every lesson and practice set counts), get at least 70% right across your latest 100 marked answers in practice and mocks, and sit all 10 full timed mocks in the course. All of it must be done before your sitting. There is no minimum study period: how long you take is up to you.
• Course work. Reach 100% course work. Lessons finished and practice questions answered with genuine working count, each question once, on the first attempt and without help.
• Practice mastery. At least 70% right across your latest 100 marked answers in practice and mocks, at the time of your sitting.
• Timed mocks. Sit all 10 full timed mocks in the course under their clocks and submit them.
• What does not count. Repeated attempts at the same question, answers given too fast to have been read, guessing at random, help from someone or something else, logging in, browsing, watching and any other unusual activity.
• How we assess it. We assess eligibility from platform records. Your You page shows each condition and what is left, and says “You qualify for the guarantee” once all of it is done.
• Your sitting. After you pay, confirm your exam date on your You page. It locks once set, and the guarantee covers that sitting. Work after it does not count.
• Claiming. Email support@unigenius.co.uk within 30 days of your official result, with your payment reference and your official results statement or certificate. We check the course work recorded on your account and refund the price you paid to your original payment method.
• Fixed at purchase. These terms (version guarantee-inputs-2026-10-06-v5) are copied into your purchase when you pay and do not change afterwards.

Referrals

Terms version ref-2026-09-25. They apply where your account shows a referral card.

• A paying customer with a referral card can share their link. A friend who signs in and has never ordered from us before gets the friend price shown on the card for their first course. That price replaces any other offer.
• The link counts for 30 days after the friend first opens it, and one link gives at most 5 new friend prices in any 24 hours.
• The reward is the amount shown on your card, which depends on the course. It is a refund to the card you paid with, sent once the friend's order has passed its refund window.
• There is no reward if the friend's order is refunded or disputed, if the friend pays with a card you have used, if the friend is you, or if your own qualifying paid order has been refunded or disputed by the time the reward is due.
• You can earn at most 10 rewards in any 365 days. The friend keeps their price even when no reward is paid.
